feral children

by feral children i mean kids raised by animals. not super sad situations of abuse and confinement.

apparently there are numerous cases of children being raised by animals (usually wolves) and then "saved". subsequent attempts to teach the children language, how to bathe themselves, or simply not to bite everyone have been very difficult.which raises questions about the whole "nature vs nuture" thingy and theories on language aquisition and the such. anywho. im going to let you guyz read up on the concept of feral children with the following links. super interesting if you have the time to read into it. lots of hoaxes though.

major changes

the past week has been a tumultous one for beanpoutine. ourt whole eledcutive coucil was fired in a coup by the IT department. fucked up i know./ todd is now the ceo and has 51% of tyhe voting power. we all have mixed emotions bout it down here in the office. although we didnt like what the old executive was doing with the lack of funny fat people falling videos, we arent completely entralled with todds new company strategy of only IT related posting(new viruses, computer components, lines of code).
we will see where this takes us. ill keep you guyz posted in the coming days.

I have my computer close by as well. two screens at all time is a must. its cold in my apartment because im a cheapskate and have been turning off the heat. i think my cat is pissed at me because of it. so anyways. im sitting on my couch watching the foodnetwork and internetting. tired. acting really pathetic. and cold. with a fleece blanket draped over me cause of the cold. im loving the (normal) blanket and its fleecyness but i know theres something off. something just aint right about my situation. when this commercial comes on and the world makes sense for once in my fucking life:

recipe #8: Gratin

Onion Potato Gratin Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
3/4 pound onions, thinly sliced
1 cup (packed) grated Gruyere cheese (about 4 oz)
8 Tbsp (packed) freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 2 oz)
2/3 cup whipping cream

Method

Preheat oven to 400°F (unless preparing in advance).

1 Combine Yukon Gold potatoes and sliced onions in heavy large saucepan. Add enough water to cover. Bring water to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are almost tender, about 3 minutes. Drain potato onion mixture well.

2 Arrange half of potato-onion mixture in 11x7 inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle mixture with 1/3 cup Gruyere cheese and then 2 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese.

3 Arrange remaining potato-onion mixture atop cheeses. Pour cream over. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of Gruyere and 6 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese. (Can be prepared 8 hours in advance. Cover and refrigerate.)

4 Bake gratin uncovered in 400°F oven until cream thickens, about 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Preheat broiler. Broil gratin until top is golden, about 2 minutes.

Serves 4.

its my joy to tell all you guyz about how proud i am of everyone here at beanpoutine. some of the work that is being done ius top notch. im crying out of happiness as i type this btw. i just want all of you to know that the hard work isnt being igbored by the executive coucil. tonight we are taking the whole crew out for indian biuffet! it was proposed by lisa at the quarterly board meeting in halifax bqack in 2006 and we are now foollowing thru on the promise!. even greg is coming along despite some of the flack he got for the shitty work he did on reptilian humanoids in the summer of 2008. expect even more internets in the coming days. but for tonight. its indian buffet! yay!

overheard at work

I will try to explain this story the best I can. may be a bit confusing and long.
So I was distributing a bunch of big black bins at work to the IT ewoks so that they could load up their belongings for the weekend for safe keeping. the reason for this? apparently there is a roach infestation in the computer nerd section of the office that needs to be taken care of. i obtained a map that showed where ground zero for the roach collony is (ravi's desk) and arranged for the pest control peoples to spray on the weekend. the fact that there is a bug problem in a big souless office like the one I work in is fucking hilarious in its own right . espeacially in the weird IT nerd area of the cubicles.(they kinda remind me of bugs as is)(they eat like mice sorta)(julie always pulls her big turtle neck up over her mouth while she works.right upto her nose. very strange)
Aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnywho.

maureen was leaning up against one of the cubes looking over some work when donna, ravi, and some other person walked up to her. maureen looked up from her paper and made eye contact with donna.

a very serious concern in todays society is the reemergence of ghosts spirits and demons. was it just a cooincidence that so close to halloween all the worlds markets collapse? No. the demons are gathering in their place of power (hamilton) to mount an attack on our psyche on halloween. its all very scary and serious people. i have been covertly watching them as they cast spells and potions. I have ammassed a considerable collection of findings that might help all of you when they finnaly do attack on the 31st. these findings will provide you with a good idea of what to look out for. here are some of the results of years of research:
